A Post Wedding Photo Session - San Francisco

I had the honor of styling Laura for her wedding at Auberge du Soleil in Napa last year. This year, she and her husband decided to have a post wedding photo session in San Francisco with the talented Augie Chang again. I'm so touched that Laura has asked me to style her again for this post wedding shoot. Laura has shoulder length hair but like her wedding day, she opted for long, flowy locks so I put in hair extensions for her to create her dream look. Pre-Wedding Photo Session - Vivian & Marcus

I feel fortunate to have worked with Augie Chang on this pre-wedding photo session for a famous Hong Kong couple. Vivian is a well know entertainment news anchorwoman so she has worked with a lot professional makeup artists but she was happy with the look I created for her. She is super sweet and nice and I am glad I got to know her. I stayed on location in Napa for the shoot and we changed 4 hairstyles to match the different outfits Vivian prepared for the shoot.  Her makeup stayed fresh through out the day and I only needed to do minimal touch ups on the lips to change lip colors. Pre-wedding shoots are fun because it allows more time to shoot in different locations and changes in styles and outfits while there is limited time on the wedding day to do different looks or travel to different locations.

Tammy & Brendon - Flood Mansion Wedding

Wedding Planner : Jean Marks
Photographer : Chung Li
Wedding Ceremony and Reception : Flood Mansion
Makeup and Hair : Jbeautique
Floral Design : Huckleberry Karen Designs

Instead of telling the story of this beautiful wedding ourselves, we wanted to give you the gorgeous bride Tammy’s thoughts and memories of the wedding:
San Francisco is very special to us – I met both my husband and many of our closest friends at Stanford, and we spent many fun weekends in the city. Since college, many of us have moved all around the world, so it was great to see our friends and family back where it all started. To pay homage to San Francisco’s history, we transported the wedding party and our guests from the hotel to the venue via a classic cable car, and we had custom fortune cookies from Chinatown as wedding favors.
We were intrigued by the idea of an outdoor wedding and reception, but after seeing the Flood Mansion, we knew that it was the perfect venue. To fuse the two ideas together, we decided to bring our favorite elements of the outdoors indoors. We had our ceremony outside in the courtyard. Then the reception moved indoors, where we featured pastel colors, a leaf-patterned ceiling wash, and garden flowers. To add an element of whim, we had a series of small bouquets on each table, placed in teapots and teacups. To end our magical night, we had a four-layered cake with sugar roses and five different types of petite desserts.

Daniela & Patrick ~ Love from Germany

Daniela and Patrick were both from Germany when they met 10 years ago in San Francisco. They fell in love and in love with the beautiful city that they had vowed to come back and get marry here one day. This date came 10 years later and they were both thrilled to be back for their wedding. They wanted a simple ceremony where they can view the Golden Gate Bridge. I love these photos from Chung Li which captured their joy and emotions passionately. It was definitely my pleasure working with Daniela, there was no trial, no meeting before hand as we met each other for the first time the day of her wedding. I'm so glad she was ecstatic with the look I created for her.
